PRESENTATION
A dessert prepared with chia seeds, coconut “milk” (beverage), honey or maple syrup, vanilla, fresh fruit (such as mango, banana, kiwi), almonds, coconut, and granola.
INGREDIENTS:
Serves 1
1/4 cup chia seeds
1 cup unsweetened coconut “milk” (beverage)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fresh fruit (such as berries, sliced kiwi, mango, or banana)
1 teaspoon sliced almonds (or other nuts of choice)
Optional: shredded coconut or granola for extra topping
METOD
In a bowl, combine the chia seeds, coconut beverage, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
Mix well and let rest for 5–10 minutes, then stir again.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. The chia seeds will absorb the liquid and swell, creating a pudding-like consistency.
Before serving, wash and slice the fresh fruit.
Remove the chilled chia pudding from the refrigerator and stir well.
Divide into bowls and top each portion generously with fresh fruit and almonds.
If desired, sprinkle with shredded coconut or granola.

NOTE
- Prepare and handle under strict hygienic conditions.
The term “milk” is commonly used but, by law, may only refer to mammalian milk. In 2017, the Court of Justice of the European Union prohibited the use of the term “milk” for plant-based products.
It is therefore more correct to refer to this product as a beverage.
