Notes
To be prepared and handled under strict hygienic conditions.
The ingredients of the dish bring the following benefits:
Garlic: has immune-stimulating properties, promotes liver function and the elimination of waste metabolites. It also has hypocholesterolemic, lipid-lowering, antiplatelet, hypotensive and hypoglycemic properties that promote cardiac function.
Lischeri or Barba di Frate or Barba di Becco or Agretto : salad source of carotenoids, chlorophyll and Vitamin E that protect the immune system from harmful fatty acids and mineral salts, vitamins and antioxidants that act to protect the cardiovascular system; also suitable for nephropathics. It provides folic acid linked to the production of serotonin and therefore favorable to good mood and counteract depression
Extra virgin olive oil: source of Vitamin E that protects the immune system from harmful fatty acids
Potatoes: rich in carotenoids and vitamin C, the antioxidant par excellence that fights free radicals and supports the immune and cardiovascular systems. Useful for the functioning of the liver for the supply of vitamins, mineral salts and antioxidants. They provide folic acid linked to the production of serotonin and therefore favorable to good mood and counteract depression
Pepper (green, pink, black, gray, white): contains piperine, a powerful antioxidant; it improves insulin sensitivity by reducing cholesterol levels and activating metabolism. Recommended for people with cardiovascular problems.
Flaxseed: among other things, they provide omega-3 fatty acids that contribute to the control of cholesterol and blood sugar, promoting the functionality of the cardiovascular system. Rich in magnesium and omega 3 fatty acids important for regulating mood and cognitive function
Poppy seeds: rich in mineral salts (iron, copper, manganese, calcium and zinc) and phytosterols, which help lower the levels of “bad” cholesterol and have a calming effect on the nervous system, effective against anxiety, stress and insomnia, rich in vitamin E and B vitamins that promote metabolism.
Sesame seeds: source of vitamins and minerals, in particular B vitamins, potassium, iron and copper that promote hematopoiesis, fatty acids that support the cardiovascular system, vitamin E, selenium and manganese, polyphenols (antioxidants) that support the immune system. Rich in magnesium and omega 3 fatty acids important for regulating mood and cognitive function
