Garlic: It has immunostimulant properties, promotes liver function, and the elimination of waste metabolites. It also has cholesterol-lowering, lipid-lowering, antiplatelet, hypotensive, and hypoglycemic properties, which promote cardiac function.
Sea bass: Provides zinc and selenium, elements that promote proper immune system function by inhibiting the formation of prostaglandins that impede proper cellular function. It is also high in omega-3 fatty acids, which inhibit platelet aggregation (a cardiovascular risk factor). It is beneficial for liver function due to its zinc, selenium, and omega-3 and -6 fatty acids.
Capers: A source of antioxidants that support the immune system, rutin that strengthens capillaries and inhibits the formation of platelet aggregations, promoting cardiovascular function.
Extra virgin olive oil: A source of vitamin E that protects the immune system from harmful fatty acids.
Olives: A source of vitamin E that protects the immune system from harmful fatty acids. Helps support liver function due to its omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
Whole wheat bread: A source of fiber that supports the intestinal microbiota, improves intestinal transit, and provides B vitamins and minerals that strengthen the immune system; also recommended for kidney patients.
Pine nuts: A source of vitamin E that protects the immune system from harmful fatty acids, and minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants that protect the cardiovascular system; also recommended for kidney patients. Also helpful for liver function due to its vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Parsley: Rich in carotenoids that support the immune system and in minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants that protect the cardiovascular system; also recommended for kidney patients and beneficial for liver function due to its vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
