The ingredients of the dish bring the following benefits:
Butter: source of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) favorable to the health of the eyes, mucous membranes, bones, immune system and blood clotting.
Cocoa: powerful antioxidant rich in purine alkaloids (theobromine, caffeine, adenine), tannins, flavonoids, polyphenols, proteins, starches and sugars and B vitamins favorable to basal metabolism and cardio-vascular well-being because it lowers blood pressure and promotes blood flow at the level of the coronary arteries. It contains phenylethylamine capable of decreasing the production of cortisol (stress hormone).
Dark chocolate: (at least 70% cocoa): it supports the functionality of the immune system and in particular stimulates the production of T lymphocytes, which act against infections, as well as being rich in ingredients (serotonin, endorphins and diphenyldantoin) which are antidepressants, support mood and inhibit pain.
Milk chocolate: if not consumed in excess, it provides polyphenols, natural antioxidants that help improve heart and circulatory functions and tryptophan which stimulates the release of serotonin (the hormone of good mood)
Wholemeal flours: providing zinc, an element favorable to the proper functioning of the immune system; also suitable for nephropathic patients. They stimulate the synthesis of serotonin which counteracts depression and promotes good mood
Whole milk: provides vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, promoting metabolism, cardiovascular function, tooth and bone health. The presence of tryptophan helps to counteract depression
Salt: essential for the balance of body fluids and for the transmission of nerve impulses, it is however to be consumed respecting the limit of 5 g per day according to the indications of the WHO so as not to promote arterial hypertension and consequent increase in the risk of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases starting from myocardial infarction and cerebral stroke; to be limited as much as possible in the case of nephropathy.
Eggs: source of Vitamin E which protects the immune system from harmful fatty acids. Rich in Vitamin D that fights mood disorders
