Presentation

Sorbet prepared with lemon ice cream, vegetable cream, dry sparkling wine, oranges, vodka

Ingredients
Serves 4

• 100 g lemon ice cream (about 3.5 oz / ½ cup)
• 100 g non-dairy whipping cream (about 3.5 oz / ½ cup)
• 100 g dry sparkling wine (about 3.5 oz / 100 ml / ⅓–½ cup)
• 3 oranges
• A splash of vodka (about 1–2 tablespoons / 15–30 ml)

Preparation

Peel 2 oranges and squeeze them.

Cut 4 slices of the third orange and squeeze the rest.

Cut the peel thin.

Add the ice cream to the orange juice, mixing the cream, vodka and sparkling wine.

Pour into 4 fluts

Garnish with the cut peel and orange slice.

Notes

To be prepared and handled under strict hygienic conditions.

For children or teetotallers, replace the alcoholic part with sparkling mineral water.

The ingredients of the recipe bring the following benefits:

Oranges: provide flavonoids (Vit. P), antioxidants that enhance the action of Vit. C in favor of the immune and cardiovascular systems: also indicated for nephropathic patients; useful for the functioning of the liver for the supply of vitamins, mineral salts and antioxidants

Lemon: Rich in substances with antioxidant action: vitamin C, beta-carotene, cryptoxanthin, lutein and zeaxanthin, which promote the regeneration of liver cells, the functionality of the immune system and which act to protect the cardiovascular system; also suitable for nephropathic patients and useful for the functioning of the liver for the contribution of vitamins, mineral salts and antioxidants

Sparkling wine: (moderate consumption) counteracts bad cholesterol and raises the levels of good cholesterol, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke and has a purifying and detoxifying activity favorable to the proper functioning of the liver

Vodka not usable in the recipe also intended for children
